About this check
What's included
The profile at a glance
Backlinks, referring domains, referring root domains, domain rank on a 0–100 scale, an overall spam score and how many links are broken.
The strongest referring domains
The ten highest-authority domains linking to the site, one link each, with the anchor text, whether it passes authority and when it was first seen.
Subdomains included
blog.example.com and www.example.com count towards example.com, and links between a site's own pages are excluded so the numbers describe reach, not structure.
Common questions
Where does the data come from?
A backlink index covering trillions of links, refreshed continuously. Counts differ between indexes, so compare sites within one tool rather than across tools.
Why only ten links?
The checker shows a sample of up to ten referring domains. A workspace provides a larger sample of up to 100 referring domains, alongside backlink totals and new and lost link counts.
How often is a site re-checked?
Once a day. A site checked by somebody else today shows the same result, marked with when it was fetched.
